Data & Account Deletion

This page applies to CoStrive (published in Google Play by CodePower).


How to request deletion of your account

 

You can request deletion of your CoStrive account using one of the following methods:


A) In the app (recommended)

 

  1. Open CoStrive

  2. Go to Profile / Settings

  3. Choose Account

  4. Tap Delete account

  5. Confirm deletion


B) By email

Send an email to: support@costrive.app
Subject: “CoStrive account deletion”
Please include:
•    The email address you use for CoStrive (or your user ID if visible in the app)
•    Whether you want full deletion or anonymization (if applicable)

 

We may ask for a brief verification to ensure the request is made by the account owner.


What data is deleted — and what may be retained?


When your account is deleted, we generally delete or anonymize the following:
Data that is deleted/anonymized
•    Account information (name/alias, email/login ID, profile photo, preferences/settings)
•    Training and activity data created in CoStrive (plans, sessions, notes, tags, goals)
•    Social data in the app (e.g., connections, groups/communities you created or joined) where possible without breaking other users’ data
o    If preserving other users’ history requires it, your identity will be anonymized (e.g., shown as “Deleted user”)
•    Content you uploaded to your profile (images/media), unless it is part of shared content that must remain for other users

 

Data that may be retained (limited)
•    Payment/transaction records (e.g., receipts, subscription records) may be retained where required by applicable laws and regulations. We retain only what is necessary and restrict access.
•    Security and anti-abuse logs (e.g., IP logs, login events, audit/security logs) may be retained for a limited time to protect the service and document misuse.
•    Technical operations data (e.g., crash reports) may be kept in aggregated or anonymized form when it does not directly identify you.


Typical retention periods
•    Account and app data: deleted/anonymized typically within [X] days after a verified request.
•    Security/anti-abuse logs: typically [30–90] days.
•    Payment/billing data: retained as long as required by applicable law (varies by country/payment provider).


What if you only uninstall the app?
Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete your account or server-side data. Please use the in-app deletion feature or contact us by email (see above).
